PreK Expansion Room Receives High Scores From State

All Illinois grant funded PreK  programs are evaluated every 2 years by State evaluators using ECERS, (The Early Childhood Environmental Rating Scale).  Earlier this year, Hedding's All Day  PreK program was evaluated at received a score of 5.14. Scores on the ECERS can range from 1 (lowest) to 7 (highest). Classrooms that score 5 or above are considered to be high quality, 3-4.9 are moderate quality, and below 3, low quality.
