DATES COMING UP:

Tornado Treats Bake Sale: Oct. 5 and Oct. 19

Fannie May Fundraiser- Oct. 19-30. This is our main fundraiser for the year.

We wanted to let families know what is going on with our PBIS program this year.

PBIS is a proactive approach to establishing the support needed for all students in school to achieve social, emotional, and academic success.

Students earn “Tornado Bucks” (T-Bucks) for demonstrating the behaviors recited in our school pledge each morning: Responsible, Respectful, Caring, Honest. Students use the T-Bucks to shop at the Tornado Buck Store a few times a trimester.  In the past, items have ranged from pencils to bicycles! Also, once a trimester, students who earn them, participate in Incentive Day activities such as dance parties, and trips to the movies theater or jump park. At the end of the year, there is a raffle for bigger items if the funds are there.

Our annual PBIS Fundraiser is coming up. Mark your calendars for Oct. 19-30. We will be selling the delicious Fannie May chocolates. The teachers and support staff have also been busy baking for our Tornado Treats sales. They happen about every two weeks. The next Tornado Treats is on Oct. 5. Another idea we are working on is selling Smencils (smelly pencils). We are hoping to make enough to cover costs for our year with Fannie May,  bake sales, and Smencils sales.

We also take donations for our T-bucks store of gently used toys, stuffed animals or anything you think the students would like to buy with their T-bucks.

We also would like to bring assemblies to the school for our students to enjoy! Anyone with any ideas to help our program, contact your child’s teacher or Mrs. Anderson.

Thank you for all your support with our school, PBIS program, and fundraisers! Let’s make it a great year for our students!!

Thank you,

AES PBIS Committee
