Abingdon-Avon Middle School

World Polio Day on 24 October was established by Rotary International to commemorate the birth of Jonas Salk, who led the first team to develop a vaccine against poliomyelitis (polio). In observance of this day, the Abingdon-Avon Interact Club donated $200 to Polio Plus, Rotary Internationa'ls initiative to eradicate polio in the world.
