Welcome to HGS: Miss. Roemer

This year we asked each new staff member to share a little of their personal history with us. We asked them where they grew-up, went to high school and college, why they became teachers, and a few questions to provide a little insight on them outside of just teaching.

Miss. Roemer will be teaching 2nd grade at Hedding this school year.

Miss. Roemer was born and raised in the small town of Athens, IL.

She graduated from Athens High School and Eastern Illinois University.

According to Miss. Roemer, she became a teacher "Because I love working with children and I strive to help each and every child receive the education they deserve. I want my students to gain a love of learning in my classroom and use what I teach them in their everyday lives!"

Her favorite hobbies include reading books and being with family/friends.

She is a St. Louis Cardinals fan and loves country music.

Her  favorite movie (right now) is The Greatest Showman and her favorite book series is the Harry Potter series.

Her  favorite food is pizza.

Her favorite color is purple.

A couple of interesting things about Miss. Roemer are: She is left handed and she traveled to Ireland on a study abroad trip during her college years!

Please be sure to make Miss. Roemer feel welcome in our district.
