Mr. Hunt

This year we asked each new staff member to share a little of their personal history with us. We asked them where they grew-up, went to high school and college, why they became teachers, and a few questions to provide a little insight on them outside of just teaching.

Mr. Hunt will be teaching and directing our Band programs at the Middle School and High School. Below is his backstory:

Mr. Hunt was born and raised in Peoria, IL and graduated from Dunlap High School. He graduated from Chicago's VanderCook College of Music.

He chose to become a teacher because he was "inspired by, and given a voice of my own by my teachers growing up, and hope to give the same to my students through the universal language of music!"

-Favorite Hobbies: Anything that involves music. Additionally, he is an "outdoorsy" person.

-Favorite Band: Constantly changing, but currently....Vampire Weekend.

-Favorite Movie: One the very few people know about; Chronicle. "It is all shot from a first person POV camera angle, which  really intrigued me."

-Favorite Food: Popcorn.

-Favorite Color: Green!

-Something Interesting: "I'm truly a performer at heart - both instrumentally and vocally!"
