This year we asked each new staff member to share a little of their personal history with us. We asked them where they grew-up, went to high school and college, why they became teachers, and a few questions to provide a little insight on them outside of just teaching.
Mr. Kelso will be teaching P.E. and Health at AAHS. He is also an Assistant Football coach.
He was born and raised in Macomb, Illinois. He graduated from Macomb High School in 2003 and Western Illinois University in 2008 and 2015.
According to Mr. Kelso, "I became a teacher to impact students' lives in a positive way."
His Favorite Hobbies: Reading and Netflix.
His Favorite Sports Teams: "I’m a huge STL Cardinals and Notre Dame fan".
His Favorite Book: The Game of Thrones books are his favorite book, as well as his favorite TV show.

Something interesting about Mr. Kelso: "I interned for the Denver Broncos during the 2010 season. I did video and game analysis breakdowns."
