Congratulations to junior football player Ryker Darst, the WMOI/WRAM Abingdon-Avon Tornado Athlete of the Week for the week ending August 30!
Ryker has already made a huge impact for the Tornadoes this season, contributing in a multitude of ways. In the opening-week victory over West Hancock, Ryker rushed for 248 yards and 3 touchdowns! 💨🏈
He’s been just as impressive on defense, recording 15 total tackles, along with an interception and a fumble recovery. 💪
Talk about an all-around performance! Congratulations, Ryker, on this well-deserved recognition! 🌪️👏

The annual Tornado Cheer Clinic will be held on Saturday, September 5th and the performances will be held on Friday, September 11th, during halftime of the boys varsity football game. $15 fee includes Saturday cheer practice at the Abingdon-Avon High School, Cheer Clinic T-Shirt and performance at an ATOWN varsity football game. Parent t-shirts are available for purchase for $12.
