Teachers at Hedding have been learning about Cooperative Learning Structures to help with student engagement during monthly grade level meetings.
The special yo-yo's that are for Sale for the Ned Show assembly have arrived! Students will be able to shop for which yo-yo they would like to purchase throughout the day at HGS.
Avon students who would like to purchase a yo-yo send the forms to the front office in Avon and yo-yo's will be delivered everyday the rest of this week and next week.
The Ned Show is coming HGS on Friday!!! Students will have the opportunity to purchase a special yo-yo like the ones used during the assembly.
HGS will be having pet supply drive in honor of Bentley the Reading Dog's Birthday on Dec. 15, 2023.
Caution- side roads have some slick spots this morning. Please take your time getting to school today and stay safe.
There will be no Tornado Time at the Avon Campus tomorrow, December 5, 2023.
There will be a bus picking up basketball players and cheerleaders in Abingdon for tonight's basketball game in Avon at 4:45. Players and cheerleaders should be at AAHS no later than 4:40 to leave on time.
Games will be held as planned at AAMS tonight beginning at 5:30.
There will be no volleyball practice for middle school today, December 4.
The phones are down at HGS, if you are coming to pick up your student, please notify the classroom teacher. Fannie May delivery pick up is canceled for tonight but can be picked up tomorrow.
Due to a widespread power outage and the district's inability to provide lunch for our students, A-Town will dismiss at 10:45 today. Sorry for the inconvenience.
All buildings in A-Town are currently without power. Our students and staff are safe and adapting at this point. We will keep everyone posted as things develop.

Reminder: HGS students, the Holiday Countdown starts tomorrow 12/1/2023! I can't wait to see all of the holiday hats and headwear! It all starts with Holiday Hair...Don't Care!
Reminder: if the "real feel" is 20 degree or higher HGS students will go outside for recess. The "real feel" at lunch recess today is supposed to be 32 degrees!
