Mr. Frakes (Director of Activities) and Officer Schwartz (Resource Officer) recently presented a $880 check from MC Sports to members of the Abingdon American Legion Post #381 — Steve Anderson (Air Force), Stewart Powell (Navy), and Rick Quinn Sr. (Army) — representing proceeds from our 9/11 Remembrance apparel sales.
A private donation of $25 brought the initial donation to $905. The Abingdon American Legion is generously matching that amount, bringing the total donation to $1,805 for the Honor Flight! 🇺🇸✈️
A special THANK YOU to the Abingdon American Legion Post #381 for partnering with us to make our 9/11 Remembrance Ceremony such a meaningful event.
Thank you to MC Sports and Brett Dugan for the shirt designs, quick turnaround, and helping bring this vision to life.
And most importantly, thank you to the A-Town community for supporting this effort — not only through apparel sales, but by showing up and standing together to honor and remember.

Congratulations to Abingdon-Avon senior soccer player Caden Rogers, this week’s A-Town Tornado Athlete of the Week! 🌪️⚽️
Caden had an incredible week on the pitch, finding the back of the net 11 times for the Tornadoes! He scored three goals in a victory over Mt. Pulaski, followed by four goals in a win at Riverdale, then added four more goals during the tournament at Hoopeston over the weekend.
