
AAHS UPDATE: AMEREN has been onsite and cleared the building & the surrounding area as safe. We appreciate your patience and understanding that student & staff safety is our top priority. The mysterious odor has dissipated. Evening events will continue as scheduled: all practices will be voluntary (contact your coaches/directors). Parent/teacher conferences will go on as scheduled.

Important Update: At the recommendation of AMEREN AAHS will he dismissed for the day immediately to investigate a mysterious odor. We appreciate your understanding. Students who need transportation will be taken home via school bus. Early dismissal only affects the HS. More info to follow.

Congrats to Dylan Klingler for placing 2nd in the ACES Sectional Engineering test. He will advance to State at EIU on April 21.

The High School Winter Sports Banquet will be held on Sunday, March 22nd at 5 pm in the High School cafeteria. The cost is $5.00 for guests. Kiwanis covers the cost for the players. The sign-up sheet is in the high school office. Hope you can make it.

SAT Prep: Math class today at the high school from 1-3 pm

Congratulations to A-Town Senior basketball player Ryan Adolphson on scoring his 1000 career point. Ryan's milestone came during the Torndaoes victory over United in the regional semifinal at Galva on Wednesday evening.


Reminder: Tip-off for tonight's boys basketball regional championship game at Galva is 7pm. Come out and support our boys as they play for the championship.

Abingdon-Avon sophomore Ashley Jones was an honorable mention selection in Class 1A.
