This afternoon, there was a medical emergency in Avon that required the use of the practice soccer field. The incident did not involve any Abingdon-Avon staff or students and was not related to the school. While medical staff were on scene, students and staff held in place to ensure there was no access to the scene. The scene has been cleared, and classes have resumed as normal.

The A-Town Middle School Interact Club received a $200 Grant from Rotary District 6460. They used the money to buy a copy of the book Don't Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus for each Preschool student on the Avon campus. On Wednesday, May 13th, ten Interact members read the book to the Preschool students and gave the preschooler their personalized copy. The Club also presented Mrs. Snyder, the preschool teacher, with a set of Pigeon books for her classroom. The A-Town Interact Club is sponsored by the Abingdon Rotary Club and advised by Mrs. M&M.
