With the forced shutdown of schools in Illinois due to Covid-19, I feel that the people that are impacted the most, our students, need to be informed of what we know up to this point in time.
1. As of now (March 24) the reopening of schools is scheduled to take place on April 8.
2. All school sponsored events through April 8 are cancelled or postponed.
3. Schools have been given permission to give grades on work that is completed at home. These grades may only help students. Grades that negatively affect students can not be used.
4. If you are a student that is borderline or are failing a course I urge you to take advantage of getting work submitted.to improve your grade. If you are a student that has stable grades I encourage you to continue to work on your assignments.
5. Teachers will be posting assignments on Google Classroom or some have sent packets home for students to work on. If you have questions for your teachers please email them.
We are in a unique time in our history and need to remain flexible. This will all pass and life will return to some form of a normal routine. I encourage you all to take advantage of this time to improve your grades while working from home.
Reminder: Meal distribution at 12:00 til 1:00 today. 2 lunches & 2 breakfasts today. We are up to over 170 students each day. Next distribution on Wednesday. We are here to support all of our students - regardless of income. All meals are free. Call 3094622301 to sign-up.

Update: The National Honor Society induction ceremony planned for Monday evening at the high school has been postponed. When a new date is set an update will be sent out.
SAT Prep classes are cancelled until further notice.
D276 Update: Due to the nature of this unprecedented shutdown, expectations & guidelines are constantly changing. To avoid sending out numerous corrections & changes, the district will post info related to: Essential Services, Meal Distribution, Medication Questions, & Emergency Situations on Sunday @ 5:00PM. Additionally, school will be in session on Monday, with an early dismissal time of 11:30. Thank you for your cooperation.
