We had a very busy day in 4th grade! After the dogs left we learned about making a Scientific prediction! We did our first experiment of the year and students had to make prediction about what we will dig up the last week of school. They had to predict what the underwear would look like after all that time! Today’s experiment was called Soil your Underwear! 😂🤷🏻‍♀️👀🙈

In Mrs. Reed's class we had some fun learning happening. . We measured pumpkins to find height and circumference, created our own playdough monsters (working on making playdough balls), hunted our library for leaves to sort and graph, and created our own name trees

In Mrs. Delacruz's class : Our harvest unit continued this week. We focused on apples. We learned that bees help produce apples by pollination. Also, apples are all sorts of colors and sizes. We cut, examined, and ate many apples. Our favorites were red delicious and gala apples.

Dear HGS Parents and Guardians,

We wanted to make you aware that the sinks in the boys’ restroom have recently been tampered with and some parts have been broken. We are working to repair the damage as quickly as possible so that all students have access to properly functioning facilities.

If you happen to find any sink parts or related items in your child’s backpack or clothing pockets, please return them to the school office. We appreciate your help in reinforcing the importance of taking care of our school property.

Thank you for your cooperation and continued support in keeping HGS a safe and respectful learning environment.

Sincerely,
Leeanne Scherpe, Principal

We have a lot of books overdue from the Library. Please check with your student. Please help them get books back to school so others can check them out and enjoy them. They can return books any day, not just their Library day.
