The FACS class has been off to a great start this year. The students started off by learning about the elements and principles of design. Next we have moved on to sewing. Very few of the students had ever used a sewing machine before. We learned different parts of the machine and sewing utensils. Next they learned to wind a bobbin, thread a machine and actually sew. Students have had fun making their own drawstring backpacks, letter pillows, and a few have finished their aprons. The aprons, by using the embroidery machine, have their names on them. This class is a lot fun because you go from nothing to something you make that is useful
